Rectangle and Round Tablecloth Size Chart
Choosing the right tablecloth size depends on the size of your table and how far you want the tablecloth to hang over the edge. This hanging portion is called the drop.

For weddings, banquets, restaurants, parties, and other events, a longer drop creates a more formal appearance, while a shorter drop is often more practical for casual settings.
Use the rectangle and round tablecloth size charts below to help determine the right fit for your table.

How to Measure for a TableclothBefore choosing your tablecloth, measure your table and decide how much drop you want on each side.
For a rectangle table:
Tablecloth Length = Table Length + (2 × Desired Drop)
Tablecloth Width = Table Width + (2 × Desired Drop)For a round table:
Tablecloth Diameter = Table Diameter + (2 × Desired Drop)
For example, a 60-inch round table with a desired 15-inch drop needs approximately a 90-inch round tablecloth.

What Does Tablecloth Drop Mean?
The drop is the amount of tablecloth that hangs down from the edge of the table.
A shorter drop of around 8–10 inches works well for casual settings. A 15–24 inch drop creates a longer, more decorative appearance.
For weddings, banquet halls and formal events, many decorators prefer a floor-length tablecloth because it completely covers the table legs and creates a finished appearance.

If you're unsure between two sizes, first decide whether you want the table legs visible or completely covered.
